                               MARTIAL ARTS YOUTH ASSOCIATION M.A.Y.A

                                                    Mission Statement:
To provide youth with substance abuse, prevention education, positive role modeling, Self discipline, Goal Setting, and Gang Prevention skills, thru the use of Martial Arts.

                                                           Objectives
Form a coalition by various Marital Art Organizations to provide scholarships for youth at risk. Recruit different martial arts schools that will provide slots for youth at risk.
Obtain funding thru different private and corporate sources.

                                                               Goals:

5 slots open for youth at risk per school for 1 year
Provide mentoring thru the martial arts
To foster a positive social network among youth

4. Provide drug and alcohol abuse prevention education (program provided by a Chemical dependency specialist).

Provide goal setting skills thru martial arts curriculum

Benefit to School Owners:

To provide name recognition in you community, by associating yourself with a worthwhile community program
To gain recognition in the community as a leader

3. To help control crime and gangs by prevention efforts at the source.
4. To present Martial Arts as a discipline that provides, self esteem, goal building skills and a sense of community thru mentoring and providing positive role models to youth.
5. This program is licensed thru a non-profit organization and all donations are tax deductible.
