Judo Tournament

On October 22, Samurai Spirit Karate was proudly represented at the Judo
Tournament in Claremont, CA.  Seven individuals placed in their respective divisions:

Cassie Greenough - 1st
Breanna Bickle - 1st
Samantha Cope - 2nd
Phillip San Jose - 3rd
Riley Kennedy - 4th
Katie Davis - 2nd
Rey Remolacio - 3rd

BLACK BELT TEST

On August 27, 2005 at 11:00am, Samurai Spirit Karate will be having

a Black Belt Test.  Because of his dedication, hard work, and spirit

Max Aragon

has reached the rank of 2nd Degree Brown and is now eligible

to test for Shodan or 1st Degree Black Belt.

Everyone is encouraged to come watch Max get his butt kicked!!!

Just four days after becoming an International Champion in koshiki full-contact
sparring, Sensei Cassie graduated from Saugus High School, in Saugus, California.
Commencement Ceremonies were held at the school on June 2, 2005.

Congratulations Cassie!!!

On May 29, 2005, Sensei Cassie Greenough won first place in koshiki full-contact
sparring at the 2005 International Tournament in Saint-Jérome, Québec, Canada.
Sensei Cassie defeated four tough opponents in the very formidable under 35 women's
black belt division.  We are all very proud of this tremendous accomplishment.

Bo Seminar with Kyoshi Ota

On January 22, 2005 Samurai Spirit Karate was priviledged to have weapons master Kyoshi Ota teach two classes on basic Bo techniques. The first class was for adults and had approximately 30 participants of all ranks. The second smaller class was for children. Both classes were a tremendous success and we look forward to having master Kyoshi Ota honor us with his knowledge and skills again soon. Kyoshi Ota (L) with Sensei Tony Calvino

BLACK BELT TEST

first in-house Black Belt Test.  Because of their dedication, hard work, and spirit
